Description

Bernhard Rogge, Captain of the Auxiliary Cruiser (Hilfskreuzer) Atlantis with a Juncker Style Hilfskreuzerabzeichen from my collection.    A fascinating and interesting career.  One of only three Germans during the 2nd wold war to be decorated with a Samurai sword (Goering, Rommel, Rogge)  One of the most honorable men of that period.

It was an impressive ship.  The German Raider Atlantis: by Wolfgang Frank and Bernhard Rogge is a great book.  You should check it out. :)
